Land Water and Dams, attends the XII Jornadas Españolas de Presas organized by SPANCOLD

The XII Conference on Dams

Last September, the XII Jornadas Españolas de Presas organized by the Spanish Committee of Large Dams (SPANCOLD) was held. Land Water and Dams was present at the congress with the attendance of its CEO, Mr. José Luis Lorenzo Riera.

After several postponements due to the COVID pandemic, we were impatient to meet again with the professionals of the sector, to share ideas, concerns and objectives to improve the management of dams and reservoirs in our country.

The experience did not disappoint us at all. Thanks to the wonderful environment provided by the City of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the magnificent organization of the event by SPANCOLD, the permanent attention of its president, Ignacio Escuder, and the wide range of high quality and interesting speakers that we were able to attend, from Land, Water and Dams we believe that our attendance to the event has been very rewarding and very useful.

Within the high quality of the papers presented, we especially appreciated the conference on the Gran Canaria Dams and the Salto de Chira given by Yonay Concepción and the power entitled Remote Sensing Applied to Reservoir Management read by David Gálan.
